The Broom Workshop was set up as a means to help find a way for local women who have fallen on hard times to provide for themselves and their families.

Our Workshop is not just a charity, it is a way to continue the traditional craft, and the women take obvious pride in their work. The quality of the brooms - both in materials and make - is so high that nearly all are exported to regional markets that demand higher standards.

A brand has recently been established for the products, and now the focus is on building the brand recognition and finding new potential markets.
