what you can experience

• Visit the Lao Red Cross (Luang Prabang) for a traditional steam bath. This uses more than 25 different locally grown herbs. The combination of the steam and herbs enables their healing and rejuvenating properties to soak into the skin, maximizing the full potential of the herbs.
• We also provide massage. Our experienced masseurs and masseuse have developed their skills either in conjunction with their medical training or through training from experienced practitioners.
• Lao Red Cross also have sauna and massage facilities in Huay Xai.
• Contribute to the health equity fund where the patients receive medical care. Over 1,300 families in one district now receive free treatment and transportation to the hospital. We are now seeing more funding from donors - the cost is around US$10,000 to US$15,000 per year - to extend this program to other provinces in the south.
• You can support our activities financially by donating the following:
               Good quality clothing that you don't need anymore,
               Kitchen utensils (pots, bowls, spoons, knife etc),
               Mosquito-nets,
               Money to sponsor a poor patient.
