- A selection of more than 10 tours are available, including elephant riding at the Elephant Park Project, trekking, mountain biking and overnight stays in local villages. Tours range from one to three days and depending on your itinerary, you will see natural sights, local villages and learn about their daily life, customs and culture. Some trips include more local interaction than others, but all tours will give you an overall impression and experience of rural Lao life.
- On overnight stays you will be with a local host family/village. Typically, you will share a separate house with other travellers, and a mosquito net and mattress will be provided. All homestays offer different experiences depending on the family, village and area you are visiting.
- Fair Trek has agreements with the villagers to serve guests only with local food depending on season and wherever possible. Also you can interact with villagers and learn about their work in the fields and forests or with their crafts work. Depending on the season Fair Trek can offer, for example, harvesting, planting or construction work to join in.
